Stephanie Sacks, Ph.D.
Stephanie Sacks, Ph.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy for trauma and stressor-related disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders and psychotic disorders.
Dr. Sacks graduated with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami in 2012. She completed her predoctoral internship at the APA-Accredited Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center and completed an APA-Accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship in Trauma at the Washington DC VA Medical Center (DCVAMC). Dr. Sacks later worked as a Staff Psychologist at the DCVAMC Trauma Treatment Program. Most recently, Dr. Sacks worked in the renowned Capital Institute for Cognitive Therapy in Washington DC, where she provided evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy in an outpatient setting with individuals with a wide range of mental health difficulties. She is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, the International OCD Foundation and the Florida Psychological Association.
Dr. Sacks is an expert in the area of Traumatic Stress, and has trained with experts in the field of PTSD. She is a National Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD Trainer and Consultant, and is a Quality Rated Provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and a Veterans Affairs Health System Certified Provider in Prolonged Exposure therapy for PTSD. She has led numerous national and international workshops, trainings and webinars in a multitude of settings, including scientific conferences, educational institutions, hospitals, state-funded organizations and at the National Center for PTSD.
