Simple Practice Learning will host a Live Office Hours and Q&A with Simple Practice Learning presenter and trauma expert, Dr. Stephanie Sacks.

In this 1.5 hour webinar, Dr. Sacks will share a 30-minute presentation on advanced topics in PTSD treatment before opening up the floor to attendee questions. If you register for Office Hours but are unable to attend, a recording will be provided to you.

In the lecture focusing on Advanced Topics in PTSD, Dr. Sacks will provide education and practical guidance on the use of clinical microskills to strengthen the therapy relationship and to address treatment ruptures during PTSD treatment.

Dr. Stephanie Sacks, invited lecturer for the National Center for PTSD (NC PTSD), will provide a webcourse entitled ”PTSD and Schizophrenia-Spectrum Disorders: Assessment and Treatment.” This webcourse is an updated and revamped lecture from the one she conducted in 2019 for the NC PTSD and will focus on the evidence-based assessment and treatment of PTSD for individuals who also struggle with a co-occurring Schizophrenia-Spectrum Disorder. This lecture will provide practical tips and guidance. It will feature de-identified case examples to illustrate how to navigate this comorbidity effectively in the treatment of PTSD.

International OCD Foundation Southeast Regional OCD Conference

This FREE virtual conference will be held on June 12th, 2021, from 12:00pm-8:00pm (Eastern Time), and will include stories, an expert/community panel, a live-streaming of an OCD documentary followed by Q&A with the director, break-out sessions, and social events!

Everyone involved in the OCD community (e.g., children, adults, parents, families, clinicians, etc.) is welcome to join us! We think this will be a great event to allow attendees to connect with others in the OCD community!

As part of the Conference, Breakout Groups will be facilitated by clinicians and individuals affected by OCD, and will cover a range of relevant topics (e.g., How to help a family member with OCD; Dealing with Stigma; Taboo OCD symptoms). Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a group of their choosing.

Dr. Stephanie Sacks will be facilitating a break-out group focusing on trauma, grief and OCD.

The Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma, part of the Columbia Journalism School, has initiated a new pilot program and network of therapists trained to treat journalist clients.

Dr. Stephanie Sacks, Founder of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Center of the Palm Beaches, has been accepted as part of this pilot group of clinicians trained to treat trauma-related difficulties in journalists.

She is honored to have the opportunity to provide much-needed treatment to this underserved and highly traumatized population.

History & Mission of OCDCSFL

Founded in 2016 as an official affiliate of the IOCDF, OCD Central and South Florida (OCDCSFL) is a non-profit organization which seeks to promote the mission of IOCDF on a local level, in Central and South Florida. We work to educate the public and professional communities about OCD, in order to raise awareness and improve the quality of the treatment provided. We also seek to support research on OCD and related disorders, and work to improve access to information and resources for those with OCD and their families.


We will discuss common clinical presentations seen across health care settings: Gynecology, Dermatology, Primary Care, Cardiology, Emergency Rooms, Plastic Surgery, and other health care/medical settings. The workshop will include a review Clinical Assessment, Case Examples, Q&A, and Group Discussion.


Refreshments will be provided!
